This astounding and rare large cab of remarkable Nacozari Turquoise has mostly mirror pyrite with gorgeous blue turquoise veins running through it, from the Nacozari mine in Sonora, Mexico. The mine is located south of the Bisbee, Arizona mine in the same mountain range. This cabochon really has energy to it, and just draws you into it. This cabochon has wonderful eye-appeal and will definitely make an stunning one-of-a-kind piece of high end jewelry! Note that any black spots in the picture are simply a reflection of my camera lense, as this was a seriously difficult cabochon to get a picture of because of the high reflectivity of the pyrite!
Nacozari Turquoise Designer Cut Cabochon
33.2 x 29.9 x 8.4mm
109.56 cts.
I cut this cab by hand and it's been highly polish both front and back with slightly beveled bottom edges for easy setting and to protect the integrity of the stone.
The Nacozari mine is closed for good according to Mexican officials. A Canadian gold mining company has acquired the mine and does not want any production of Turquoise to come from the mine. This is strictly enforced. Nacozari turquoise is very hard to locate and highly collectible at the present time.
