Moroccan Seam Agate Designer Cut Cabochon

This rare and premium top grade Moroccan Seam Agate Cabochon (Kerrouchen agate) has unique red bands surrounding golden rimmed islands and spherical red formations in clear agate. Kerrouchen agates come from the Atlas Mountain region in Morocco. I cut this material horizontally across the seam of the rough agate to achieve this gorgeous pattern, giving a new perspective to this always astounding material. I've given this cabochon a medium dome, girdled sides and a flat beveled back. This gorgeous material is always one of my favorites to cut! This beautiful boldly patterned stone would make a gorgeous piece of one-of-a-kind high end jewelry or simply make an outstanding addition to any collection!

Each of my stones is handcut by me and highly polished on both sides with slightly beveled edges on the bottom for easy setting.

Note that all my photos were taken using full spectrum lighting, which does fairly well in replicating natural sunlight. However, almost all cut stones will look best and brightest in direct sunlight.
