"Prophecy Stone" - Pseudomorph of Goethite after Marcasite / Pyrite

These crystals are a pseudomorph, Goethite after Marcasite / Pyrite from the White Desert, New Valley Governorate, Egypt. The Goethite has taken and morphed over the original crystalline structure of the Pyrite/Marcasite (“pseudomorph”). Mistakenly referred to as Limonite at times. This larger example has a wonderful shape and a great glossiness to it.

Also referred to as Prophecy Stones in the metaphysical circles, these stones help those who seek guidance from higher realms regarding the future. They are excellent at helping one also receive guidance about mundane, boring matters and practical choices that must be made.
