This rare specimen of Olmiite from N'Chwaning II Mine in South Africa has great luster and has multiple inter grown crystals of sparkling beige colored Olmiite on a host matrix. It presents in multiple beautiful, sparkling olmiite hemispherical aggregates on matrix. Olmiite is a relatively new mineral, only being officially named as a new species by the IMA in 2006. To date, it is found only in the Kalahari Manganese Field of South Africa. This is a well-formed and highly aesthetic example of this rare mineral.
