This colorful natural specimen of iridescent Turgite (a variety of Hematite) from Graves Mountain, Georgia shows great color and has a fantastic rainbow on it. The surface of this specimen is covered in small iridescent spheres of color. It stands nicely on its own for display. Turgite is a mixture of Hematite and Goethite (more specifically, Hematite over Goethite), and is also referred to as Iridescent Hematite or Rainbow Hematite. Graves Mountain, in Georgia, is renowned for its occurrence of Turgite.
