This is a fantastic combo specimen of stellar Azurite crystals sitting amongst a field of Brochantite from the famed Milpillas Mine in Sonora, Mexico. This specimen displays vivid electric blue crystals of Azurite and has green Brochantite creeping it's way across the surface of the matrix. A rare Milpillas combo!

Azurite from the Milpillas Mine is already considered one of the most important discoveries of high quality mineral specimens ever found. Now that mining of the surface oxide zone which contains the azurite has ceased (the mine is now converting to process the solid chalcocite orebody beneath), these great azurites will never be mined from this locale again.
