This is a top grade completely natural rare Anandolite specimen displaying a myriad of colorful iridescent flashes, primarily in blue and green, but also with a few rainbow flashes depending on the light source and angle due to the natural inclusion of Rhodium within the Quartz crystals, with a large rosette formation in the center and comes from the State of Madhya Pradesh in India. This substantial, over 1lb, piece would be a fantastic addition to anyone's collection or be an awesome display piece. This is just astounding in person!

Discovered in 2010, Anandalite (also known as Iris Quartz, Rainbow Quartz or Rainbow Aurora Quartz) has a completely natural iridescence to it, natural prism-like "rainbow" flashes that show up on the faces and edges of the Quartz crystals, though the color is coming from inside the Quartz rather than a coating on the outside, believed to be caused by an inclusion of naturally occurring Rhodium within the crystals. In English, the word
"anandalite" translates to "divine bliss". It comes from the Sanskrit word ananda, which means "bliss".
