This nice sized cabochon shows the distinct rich green and gold patterns typical of Rainforest Jasper including strong orbs or "eyes" and a bit of quartz. There is one white soft spot on this stone, but it doesn't diminish the beauty of this cab. It would be a great stone for your next project.

I cut this cab by hand and it's been highly polished both front and back with slightly rounded bottom edges for easy setting.
Rainforest Jasper has a greenish background color with contrasting eyes. As with many jaspers, we believe Rainforest "Jasper" is actually a form of rhyolite that has been silicified into a more jasper-like material. Rain Forest Jasper got it's name from the striking colors of green, red, brown, yellow, creams and oranges, reminiscent of a scene in a rain forest.
