This Amazing and increasingly rare Ocean Jasper cabochon, which I cut from old stock material I've had for a few years has well defined beautiful orbs rimmed in orange, pink, peach and green bursting through a creamy semi-translucent base and a very small druzy quartz pocket framed in black for kicks. This is a truly outstanding one-of-a-kind Ocean Jasper cabochon that is ready to set for your next creative project.

I cut this cab by hand and it's been polished to a high sheen both front and back with slightly rounded bottom edges for easy setting.

Note that all my photos were taken using full spectrum lighting, which does fairly well in replicating natural sunlight. However, almost all cut stones will look best and brightest in direct sunlight.

A fairly new entry to the market introduced in 2000, Ocean Jasper has quickly become a highly prized material. It is truly a unique stone, with its distinct spherical inclusions, originating as spheres of silica rich magma, in a translucent base. The name of "Ocean Jasper" is truly dually descriptive because it was found along the northwest seacoast of Madagascar (only collected at low tide) and they felt that it was "suggestive of the bubbling surf of the sea."
