Swimming tendrils of brown and creamy tan with small pockets of opalized blue agate undulate through a highly contrasting sea of black in this increasingly rare designer cut Petrified Indonesian Birdseye Palm Root. This beautiful stone also displays some great "Birdseye" formations for which this material is known. From the Indonesian Island of Sumatra, this unique material is definitely Eye-Catching and captures an amazing piece of natural history. As the trunks of these trees were never found, it is thought that only the roots were preserved in this agatized form. Truly a unique stone, some of the Best of the Best of this material, literally millions of years in the making.
