These earrings are sterling silver (with fine silver used as the setting for each of the stones).

These earrings are approximately 2" in height.
Due to the softness of the natural stone, these cabochons have been "stabilized" with a polymer resin, but are real Gaspeite with that uniquely eye-catching chartreuse green color with great patterning.
Gaspeite is considered a rare mineral, being found in only a few localities, but it is becoming a popular mineral in the semi-precious stone markets. Gaspeite's light green, chartreuse, almost apple green color is very unique and not hard to mistake. Gaspeite was discovered in 1966 in the Lemieux Township of the Gaspe' Peninsula (for which it was named), Quebec, Canada.
