I cut this cab by hand and it's been highly polished both front and back with slightly rounded bottom edges for easy setting.
This material was thought to be petrified bog wood for a long time, but has recently been tested and found not to be petrified wood, so is now simply referred to as Gary Green or Gary Green Jasper. However, adding even more confusion to the situation, the claim was recently sold and the new owners are choosing to call it "Freedom Jasper". I prefer to refer to it as "Gary Green", as that was the name when I purchased the material ;)
