Sapphires Pendant in Sterling Silver
Includes 16" sterling silver snake chain.
The pendant is hand-fabricated by me - One of a Kind.
Pendant is approximately 2-1/4" in height.
The top stone in this pendant is a beautiful faceted Blue Sapphire and the bottom stone is a natural Strawberry Quartz cabochon (sometimes also called "Red Fire Quartz") which I cut. This cabochon is a prime example of this quartz loaded with rare natural red angel-haired rutile inclusions of iron oxides, giving an amazing "sparkling" effect when light hits it, especially sunlight. I created the body of this pendant in wax and cast only a small number of them in Sterling Silver, each one given different stones, and with this one I created a diamond cut texture to accent the Strawberry Quartz.
The design of this piece takes me back to my adolescence when I was interested in architecture and geometry, not knowing it would lead me to stones and jewelry.
