This unusual Ammonite cabochon is cut from hundreds of million year old fossilized ammonite (a cephalopod, or squid-like animal) and displays the suture growth patters which resemble oak leaves. This is a wonderfully gemmy cab with deep amber brown and honey shades, with strong suture patterns in creamy white nicely highlighted in contrast. It will make a truly unique piece of jewelry.
