A true rich lavender color, this gorgeous cabochon is a prime example of the beautiful and highly sought after Lavender Jade (more accurately, Jadeite, although it is sold as simply "Jade" but has also been referred to as "Turkiyenite" by some of the dealers in Turkey) coming out of Turkey in very limited quantities. These close-up photos show the tiny spotting of reddish purple that, from a distance, serve to deepen the sense of lavender and give great character to the stone. I've given this cab sweeping graceful curves, a medium dome, girdled edges and slightly beveled bottom edges. This material has become one of my favorites and always draws great attention when I create jewelry from it. This astounding cabochon will make a gorgeous piece of jewelry or would be treasured in any collection.
