This unusual Ammonite cabochon is cut from hundreds of million year old fossilized ammonite (a cephalopod, or squid-like animal) and displays the suture growth patters which resemble oak leaves. This is a wonderfully gemmy cab with contrasting shades of green, deep amber brown and honey resembles an abstract design of early autumn leaves. It will make a truly unique piece of jewelry.
