Rare Feather Pyrite Designer Cut Cabochon

I cut this unique cabochon of very rare Feather Pyrite from material coming from the rugged East Harz Mountains in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Germany. Sparkling feathery vein patterns of pyrite seem to burst out of a central point at the bottom of the stone into a windswept fan-like shape in this stunning cabochon. This material is truly an astonishing rarity that will definitely draw attention! Feather Pyrite comes from the rugged East Harz Mountains in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Germany, which is the only place in the world where Feather Pyrite is found. Feather Pyrite is Pyrite pseudomorphous after Pyrrhotite (var. Feder Pyrit), which displays as yellow-metallic pyrite pseudomorphous after veins of pyrrhotite in quartz.
