I cut this unique cabochon of very rare Feather Pyrite from material coming from the rugged East Harz Mountains in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Germany. Sparkling feathery vein patterns of pyrite seem to burst out of a central point at the bottom of the stone into a windswept fan-like shape in this stunning cabochon. This material is truly an astonishing rarity that will definitely draw attention! If you’re looking for something unusual, jaw dropping, beautiful, one-of-a-kind and special, this would definitely fit the bill and make an incredible piece of jewelry or top shelf addition to a collection.

Each of my stones is handcut by me and highly polished on both sides with slightly beveled edges on the bottom for easy setting.
Feather Pyrite comes from the rugged East Harz Mountains in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Germany, which is the only place in the world where Feather Pyrite is found. Feather Pyrite is Pyrite pseudomorphous after Pyrrhotite (var. Feder Pyrit), which displays as yellow-metallic pyrite pseudomorphous after veins of pyrrhotite in quartz.
