I cut this cab by hand and it's been polished to a high sheen both front and back with slightly beveled bottom edges for easy setting.
Aventurine is generally a translucent quartz (or feldspar) having inclusions of particles of mica, hematite, or other similar minerals, giving it a "sparkle". At least from my own experience, the colors of Aventurine include green, blue and peach
