I cut this astonishing large cabochon of rare Mohawkite from the best stock I’ve seen, with beautiful webbed mirror-like metallic minerals dominating a bed of white quartz. It should be noted that over time the Mohawkite can tarnish and develop an iridescence which adds to its beauty. This top shelf specimen grade material is truly the best of the best and it will definitely draw attention! If you’re looking for something unusual and special, this would definitely fit the bill. (A difficult stone to photograph because of the "mirror-like" quality!)
Mohawkite Designer Cut Cabochon

Each of my stones is handcut by me and highly polished (literally a "Mirror" polish on this one!) on both sides with slightly beveled edges on the bottom for easy setting.
Mohawkite, found in the Mohawk Mine in Keweenaw County, Michigan, is a combination of copper arsenates with nickel, cobalt, silver and iron with a very distinctive metallic sheen. The patterns of the metallic Mohawkite set off nicely within white quartz base stone for interesting patterns and contrast. Over time, the Mohawkite can tarnish and develop an iridescence.
