Malaquoise (Malachite, Gem Chrysocolla, Cuprite) Designer Cut Cabochon, Designer Cabochons
This unique and striking cab is from material out of Arizona being dubbed "Malaquoise", which is a copper ore material including Malachite, opalized Chrysocolla, Tenorite and Cuprite, along with other trace Copper Ore minerals. This cab shows outstanding all natural color combinations with greens, blues, sienna and black and fantastic pockets of the opalized gem Chrysocolla. I've cut this cabochon with a medium high dome, girdled edges and a flat bottom with a slightly beveled bottom edge. This cabochon has great eye-appeal and will definitely make an absolutely astounging high-end one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry!

I cut this cab by hand and it's been highly polish both front and back with slightly beveled bottom edges for easy setting and to protect the integrity of the stone.
Note that all my photos were taken using full spectrum lighting, which does fairly well in replicating natural sunlight. However, almost all cut stones will look best and brightest in direct sunlight.
