Colorful Red and Green Plume Agate Designer Cut Cabochon; Designer Cabochons

This striking cab shows off red puffy plumes twisting into opposing green plumes in a semi-translucent agate base making this truly a special Plume Agate. Note that this cab is not fully translucent so it definitely looks better in the light, especially sunlight. A remarkable one-of-a-kind stone which should make a beautiful piece of jewelry. I have no background information on where this material was found, just presented to me in rough form as "plume agate".

I cut this cab by hand and it's been polished to a high mirror polish both front and back with slightly rounded bottom edges for easy setting.

Note that all my photos were taken using full spectrum lighting, which does fairly well in replicating natural sunlight. However, almost all cut stones will look best and brightest in direct sunlight.
